NEWS AND SPECIAL OFFERS

Please Donate to Disaster Relief for animals affected by recent and future disasters

In response to the two recent disasters in North Carolina and Florida, Oxbow Veterinary Clinic will be collecting donations between now and December 31st.   We will match all donations up to a total of $500 in matching funds to Disaster Response Teams working to help animals affected by recent and future disasters.  Donations will be split between the following organizations:

NC State, College of Veterinary Medicine Disaster Relief Fund https://cvm.ncsu.edu/hurricane-florence-support-disaster-relief/

These donations will support animals that have been rescued and sheltered. The CVM has been there to help animals in the past and will continue to take action to protect and care for animals before, during and after an emergency.

Your gift will enable an effective and swift response to new disasters as well as fund disaster preparedness and emergency responder training programs at the College and the State of North Carolina.

University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Emergency Treatment Service (UF VETS)https://www.vetmed.ufl.edu/about-the-college/administration/directors-office/about-vets/

In partnership with the Florida Veterinary Medical Association and the Florida Department of Agricultural and Consumer Services, the College created the UF Veterinary Emergency Treatment Service (VETS) in order to meet the key objectives of providing a quick assessment of the veterinary infrastructure; Assisting operational practices with logistical support and mutual aid; Establishing a self-contained veterinary care triage and aid station; Providing advanced technical rescue for large and small animals; Providing training in technical rescues and building local capacity in preparation for disasters.

Our receptionist will ask if you would like to make a donation and it can simply be added to your invoice.  Your donation and matching funds will be forwarded to these organizations helping animals through disasters.  Thank you for your support.
